For the record, joeyjoseph is convinced that most parties involved haven’t read The Satanic Verses, and the moderator makes that point at the end. So much fire over something people haven’t experienced. Those of us who have read it, know the joke is on them.
But more surprising and inspiring to me, was that I can’t remember the last time a discussion of this quality was had over here, in the “land of the free”.
