According To Wikipedia
Poland has more villages, precincts, states, territories, or any other type of administratively delineated geography than any other place on Earth.  That’s not official or anything.  This is only through my two + months of random wiki sessions.  I have no hard numbers, except for tonight when just now, clicks 3,4 and 16 (out of 16 total clicks) were again for some town or province in Poland....

Contraction
For whatever reason we need “it is”.  Which is strange.  More strange is that we have a contraction: it’s.  Why don’t we have one for is it?  is’t.  Wait, why don’t we have a form of english that speaks predominantly in contractions?  Other languages have hum speech, or whistle speech.  Pig Latin!  There’s Pig Latin, so why no cont’spk?  Mike?

File Under: Kids These Days
I’ve always assumed that each generation knows more at any given age, than the generation before.  Seventh graders today, are smarter than we were in seventh grade.  But for the past few years, I’ve witnessed a number of acts that lead me to believe this trend may be reversing. For example, a few moments ago there was a loud banging at my door, followed by hilariously loud footsteps...

osakasteve: Falk and Shatner. The fabric of space and time was depressed a bit more that day indeed. Congrats on making it to season 6 of Columbo!  Just one more thing… Since when have you been watching Columbo?

Tonight On CoastToCoastAM
“George Noory welcomes paranormal investigator Paul Eno, who’ll discuss his unified theory of the paranormal which ties together ghosts, UFOs, Bigfoot, parallel universes, and other occurrences.” Note that none of those things is a rug. Theory FAIL *but really, aren’t you a bit curious as to how bigfoot ties in with parallel universes?  Or even just other occurrences?*

n1s: joeyjoseph wants a GB 500 (or GB 550). These are great bikes Joey, and if you ever wanted to find one, san francisco is just about the only place left on earth to do it. So you lucked out. FYI there is a 2 passenger seat for them. The first one I ever saw regularly was parked on your block!  Two seat option seals the deal.  Someday.

In San Francisco Dial 311 For Twitter →
“In an effort to foster more civic collaboration and connectivity with constituents, Mayor Newsom today announced a first of its kind application that allows citizens to access the City’s 311 Call Center through Twitter, a social networking service. Instead of making a phone call, members of the public can send a short message called a “tweet” to alert the city about a pothole, or simply find out...

Not That I'm Serious
I was sitting with Noah & Kate over the weekend, and we were talking, and I started singing some “Kissed by a rose” (as I did for Ray & Shaun in Portland I’m not just remembering).  Then for a reason I can’t remember, I started singing “Linger”.  And I decided that I want to meet a girl who has just discovered the Cranberries, and is really into them, or...

How Automakers Can Get Us To Love Them Pt.1
GM, start a hearts & minds campaign about how you’re re-envisioning yourself as a company aimed at making people’s lives safer, and less stressful.  Here, this first one’s a freebie: Intelligent (read:silent) car alarms.   If I hear one more alarm go off today, I’m going start throwing rocks. I’m so pissed, I wanna spit.
